This position provides HSE support to El Trapial operations in the field. Position is accountable for supporting efforts to prevent health, safety, and environmental incidents. Manages the implementation and sustainability of processes that comply with Chevron HSE expectations and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • The selected candidate will be working as HSE Field Representative in El Trapial, must be able to provide primarily support to Operations, Maintenance and Engineering activities and be flexible to be reassigned as HSE field rep cross functionally to other areas such us Facilities and/or Wells.

  • Must be able to provide direct support on safeguards identification, implementation, and verification across operations to prevent health, safety, and environmental incidents. Must be able to look for effective solutions in other to ensure a proper safeguards management while improving operations performance.

  • Should be able to build strong and collaborative relationships with Chevron and contractor supervision, field workforce and processes advisors peers. Capable to set clear expectations, observe safety performance, remove barriers, provide solutions, and align teams on shared goals and outcomes. Communicate clearly and transparently and support others.

  • Lastly and importantly, the role requires basic HSE responsibilities such as Safeguards Management and Risk Assessments; Managing Safe Work Practices and Motor Vehicle Safety; Incident investigation and report; HSE Trainings and competency verification; Emergency Management; Contractors Management; Environmental Stewardship.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in environmental, chemical, industrial, or associated engineering or HSE technical careers is required.

  • 10 years of experience in HSE roles within Oil & Gas Upstream or Downstream operations.

  • Fluency in English language is required.

  • Collaboration and Communication: proactively collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, setting clear expectations and aligning on shared goals; communicates transparently, supports colleagues, fosters positive relationships, and ensures inclusive treatment.

  • Leadership and Adaptability: takes responsibility for outcomes, recognizes others, and provides constructive feedback; encourages new ideas, adapts to change, and removes barriers to achieve results.

Special Considerations:

  • Role will have a 7x7 rotational schedule.

  • Candidate must live nearby El Trapial.

Relocation Options:

Relocation will not be considered.

International Considerations:

Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
