Arbor Day Farm is a property owned and operated by the Arbor Day Foundation. This property is where our missions come to life! As one of the world's largest operating conservation foundations, the Arbor Day Foundation educates and engages stakeholders and communities across the globe to involve themselves in its mission of planting, nurturing, and celebrating trees. Our vision is to help others understand and use trees as a solution to many of the global issues we face today, including air quality, water quality, climate change, deforestation, poverty, and hunger.

We need a Banquet Chef to put their talent towards creating exceptional events!

You Have:

  • Passion.For the Foundations mission, nature, environmental stewardship and people.
  • Experience.You have 3-5 years of experience as a sous/banquet/ or chef, along with a portfolio of your plated work.
  • Volume.You have experience working in a commercial kitchen, catering for 20 to 400 plus people.
  • Organization.You are able to use time management and organizational skills.
  • Certificate.A food handler card or certificate, a degree in culinary arts is strongly preferred but not required.

You Will:

  • Fast Paced.Work in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of events.
  • Ability.You will think outside the box and pivot when needed.
  • Manageteam members in training, development, and coaching.
  • Navigate.Understand and learn how to read event orders and the workflow from the sales team to the banquet staff.
  • Assistthe Executive Chef in creation, costing and implementation of outlets, banquets, and seasonal menus
