Naval Supply Systems Command SUPERVISORY SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in Naval Support Activity, Pennsylvania

Summary You will serve as a Supervisory Supply Management Specialist in the Deputy Director for the Operations Research and Systems Support Directorate of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT. Responsibilities You will analyze system requirements to ensure alignment with new or existing business requirements, risks, and costs. You will plan, facilitates, and monitors the basic business of the Production Support branch within the Supply Systems Support division. You will serve as a leader and Subject Matter Expert (SME) regarding all matters of User Management, Training, and Data and Reports for Navy ERP and Navy Data Platform (NDP) You will provide daily, weekly and quarterly systemic and logistic related briefs for accuracy and completeness; identify trends, causes and recommend corrective action. You will monitor and measure customer feedback; identify customer information requirements; provide timely customer responses You will research, evaluates, and provides support/analysis to correct problems and analyze patterns in customer support requirements. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized Supply Management Specialist experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-14) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing a mastery knowledge of logistics plans, policies, procedures, regulations, and directives as they impact on supportability of supply systems impacting logistical combat service support. Specialized experience includes an extensive knowledge in inventory management to recommend and/or develop corrective procedures to assist with Navy ERP or similar programs sustainment and support business process reengineering to align with command goals. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Advanced knowledge of executive / management policies, procedures and techniques to plan operations, establish policies and procedures, priorities, and assess / improve effectiveness / efficiency. 2) Knowledge of policies and procedures as they relate to a variety of disciplines related to inventory management (i.e. provisioning, cataloging, packaging, quality assurance, fun control, etc.) to support organizational requirements and goals. 3) Analyze system requirements to ensure alignment with new or existing business requirements, risks, and costs. 4) Researches, evaluates, and provides support/analysis to correct problems and analyze patterns in customer support requirements and 5) Lead and mentor fellow employees in all aspects of inventory / supply support work.
