United States Fleet Forces Command TRAINING TECHNICIAN in Naval Base, Virginia
Summary You will serve as a TRAINING TECHNICIAN in the TRAINING and READINES DEPARTMENT (N7) of NCTAMSLANT NORVA. This position is a DoD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C. 1599f. GG10 Salary Range: $66,963- $91,513 GG11 Salary Range: $73,572- $100,545 Responsibilities You will submit the Navy Wide Advancement Exam (NWAE) order for each cycle in the Navy Enlisted Advancement System (NEAS). You will determine eligibility of potential Early Promote (EP) candidates qualified to participate in the E6 and E7 exam each cycle. You will generate destruction letters and listing of activities of each exam cycle. You will solicit, collate, and track travel, training and supply budget inputs from department members. You will vet the exam participant list through legal and security prior to NWAE. You will reserve spaces to administer NWAEs, prepare seating chart based on number and type of participants. You will generate Page 13’s and/or messages for Frocking, to withhold, withdraw, and restore advancement. You will research, prepare, route and submit Immediate Superior in Command (ISIC) endorsements of subordinate units ESO related personnel actions. You will submit spend plans to the Comptroller Office after Department Head approval. You will monitor development of new or revised job qualification requirements JQRs for submission to NAVIFOR for approval. You will perform check-in and check-out of members in Navy Standard Integrated Personnel System (NSIPS) for pay purposes. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by: GG10 -Experience processing and submitting Enlisted Advancement Worksheets (EAWs) in the appropriate systems. -Experience processing exam answer keys for shipping, confirming and tracking shipment. -Experience reviewing profile sheets for discrepancies and submitting letters for corrections. -Experience submitting spend plans for approval. This position is within the Work Category Technician and Administrative Support at Work Level Full Performance, Series and Grade GG-1702-10. GG11 -Experience generating reports for prospective military member transfers, gains and separation. -Experience presenting Education Services Office (ESO) program information to a command. -Experience preparing annual budgets and tracking them through execution. -Experience verifying data in applicable programs for military personnel are entered and correct. This position is within the Work Category Technician and Administrative Support at Work Level Senior, Series and Grade GG-1702-11. Permanent and term employees currently serving in a probationary period in the competitive service or a probationary or trial period in the excepted service will complete the period as prescribed in their original conditions of employment in the new CES position if they transfer without a break in service or are promoted, demoted, or reassigned to a CES position.
