Military Sealift Command PHYSICAL SECURITY SPECIALIST in Naval Base, Virginia

Summary This position is a PHYSICAL SECURITY SPECIALIST is located in the Military Sealift Command (MSC), Chief of Staff (N02), Security Division (N021) in Norfolk, VA. To learn more about Military Sealift Command, please visit us at https://sealiftcommand.com/work-ashore Responsibilities You will assist with the management and administering of the Antiterrorism Force Protection (AT/FP) Ashore, Cyber Security Inspection/ Command Cyber ReadinessInspection (CSI/CCRI), and Physical Security programs for MSC World-wide Personnel. You will inplement standards, policies, and procedures consistent with senior Command policies and directives. You will assist the Physical Security Officer with periodic reviews of physical security programs for MSC facilities worldwide. You will be responsible for maintaining a current AT/FP reference library containing publications, documents, instructions, messages, files, etc for use in managing and administering the AT/FP program. You will ensure personnel reporting travel are briefed on area threat assessments prior to their departure. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications G-11 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience in physical security programs, policies and procedures for various physical security practices. Experience developing plans of action and milestones (POA&Ms) and managing physical security projects. Experience of the mission, objective and management practices of physical security operations. Education Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related Additional Information This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
