Naval Air Systems Command INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY PROJECT MANAGER in Naval Air Station San Diego, California

Summary You will serve as a INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY PROJECT MANAGER in the COMMAND OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT, INFORMATION SYSTEMS DIVISION of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST. Responsibilities You will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for CRS, data warehousing and integrated data environment to inspire, motivate and guide team members toward accomplishing required projects while sustaining cooperative working relationships. You will manage the review, design, development, documentation and implementation of projects as it relates to data warehousing and corporate reporting. You will prepare, justify, and administer the budget for various data warehousing and corporate reporting projects and monitor the expenditures to ensure projects are accomplished within budget. You will solve problems, make improvements or take corrective action when problems arise affecting cost, quality and schedule. You will ensure compliance with security, Organization Standard Software Process (OSSP) and other applicable rules, regulations, policies, standards or procedures governing IT processes. You will conduct analytical studies and cost benefit analyses to identify resource requirements and project projected cost. You will work with customers, locally and corporately, to assess their needs and provide information or assistance to resolve their problems or satisfy their expectations. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Ensuring projects adhere to Navy ERP technical, environmental and architectural standards; 2) Coordinating requirements definitions scope and final delivery of products with sponsors, users and lead functionalists to clearly define requirements; 3) Conducting cost, schedule, quality, risk, communication and contract management for assigned projects; 4) Developing and managing project plans for complex system design projects through development, modification, maintenance and implementation; and 5) Ensuring all tasking's are executed in full compliance with applicable Project Management Methodology and continuous Process Improvement procedures. Education Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management OR Degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
