Naval Supply Systems Command SUPERVISORY SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in Naval Air Station Pensacola, Florida

Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR JACKSONVILLE. Responsibilities You will oversee the daily operations of the Material Management Branch consisting of Customer Services, Hazardous Materials Management Operations, and the Flight Gear Outfitting Facilities located at NAS Pensacola and Whiting Field. You will supervise the Material Management Branch consisting of customer services, inventory, QA, and flight gear outfitting. You will plan, direct, and coordinate supply operational activities that involve procurement of equipment and supplies, providing a broad range of requisitioning services, processing receipt, storage, and issue transactions. You will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing purchase card account activity and reporting activity, implementing local purchase card policy and procedures ensuring compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations. You will assist in efforts regarding staffing, motivation and training to develop all employees, and ensure equitable consideration for training opportunities and nominations for teams and committees. You will provide guidance on functional requirements and obtain policy clarification/decisions as necessary on processes that impact operations and make recommendations on local directives, policies, and instructions for supply operations. You will maintain inventory control records and develop methods for achieving quality standards and supply operations goals and objectives. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Supervise the Inventory Branch consisting of customer services, inventory, QA, and flight gear outfitting; 2) Provide guidance and advice on functional requirements; 3) Obtain policy clarification as necessary on processes that impact operations and make recommendations on new or revised local directives, policies, and instructions on supply operations throughout the branch; 4) Provide a broad range of requisitioning services, processing receipt, storage and issue transactions; 5) Perform research to plan and determine current and anticipated customer requirements; 6) Initiate actions to ensure recurring requirements are identified and executed in a manner that meets program objectives; 7) Maintain inventory control records and develop methods for achieving quality standards and supply operations goals and objectives; 8) Generate routine reports looking ofr trends and process improvements.
