Mississippi Employer Sales / Cashier / Administrative Assistant in Natchez, Mississippi

Job location: Natchez, Ms. Job title: Administrative Assistant. 

Provide staffing at a local Floral and Gift Shop primarily during the week and weekends.

Responsibilities include sales, operating POS cash register, prioritizing many tasks related to merchandising, display, bookkeeping assistance, data entry, organization, and shop appearance.

Required Qualifications:

- - High school diploma. - Good reading, math, and computer skills. - Excellent communication and customer service skills - 1-2 years retail experience including opening and closing responsibilities, accountability for cash drawer balancing and inventory transactions. - Must work well independently, handle very busy situations and customer issues calmly, organize and set priorities, be comfortable and effective in coordinating and assisting other team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in retail gift, floral design, sales, marketing, accounting, websites, advertising, art, design, Excel, Photoshop, Publisher
  • Excellent customer service experience
  • Tech Savvy with the ability to operate an online communications system
  • Excellent listener with exceptional verbal communication skills using proper grammar
  • Occasionally filing, copying, or printing documents
  • Provide assistance to the sales floor when needed
  • Must be able type proficiently while taking orders on the phone
  • Maintain a calm and tactful demeanor at all times
  • Self-starter who is energetic and flexible
  • Is proactive problem solver
  • Reports issues to the Manager/ is willing to ask for help
  • A friendly and sociable mentality with a genuine desire to serve the customer
  • Takes pride in a clean and professional appearance
