Job Description
Responsibilities
Oversee the Brazilian procurement function including purchasing and contracting of parts, services, materials, consumables, major equipment, and maintenance while aligning with global procurement strategies and initiatives.
Actively build effective relationships with suppliers to evaluate products and services
Identify, establish and maintain strategic relationships for high impact goods and services.
Prepare and manage formal and informal bids from Request for Proposal (RFP) through contract execution, implementation, and administration; assess supplier performance.
Negotiate and execute contracts; manage contractual obligations within delegated scope of responsibility and in accordance with Invenergy’s procurement policies
Analyze market trends and government/regulatory conditions and assess their impact on future activities to provide strategy recommendations to leadership.
Work with cross-functional teams including Asset Management, Engineering, Site Operations, Legal, and Accounting to manage contractual and procurement requirements.
Manage inter-modal logistics for parts and materials, including required customs, taxes, tariffs and duties for importation from other countries.
Oversee company’s Facilities (offices and warehouses) and Vehicles fleet to support businesses operations.
Implement, maintain, and improve country wide Procurement, Inventory and Logistics work process and procedures. Including control and management of Inventory located at Central Warehouse and Sites operated by Invenergy Services in Brazil (parts, tools, PPE, etc).
Lead, train, and develop Operations Support team members.
Required Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations Management, or related discipline
At least 7 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, logistics or a related field
At least 3 years of experience leading and directly managing a team
Strong commercial negotiator, with an understanding of the legal aspects of procurement
Experience in project management and strategic problem-solving
Strong ability to analyze data and interpret statistics
Proven and influential verbal and written communicator
Fluent in English
Excellent time management, organizational and administrative skills including exceptional attention to detail
