Amazon Technical Learning Experience Designer in Nashville, Tennessee
Description
The Rapid and Rural Logistics L&D team is seeking a talented Learning Experience Designer within our Technical Content team to create interactive and engaging learning experiences for Associates and Leaders. Overall, this role will be key in developing training that relies heavily on technological solutions. Some of this work will include developing and working with simulations, xAPI, dynamic triggering, Learning Record Stores, app-based devices, and/or using big-data to target performance support features.
Key job responsibilities
Design and develop creative, learner-centered, performance-based training materials utilizing interactive eLearning modules and videos, and in-app embedded learning content
Own and create elearning modules, assessments, measurement tools, and evaluations of training effectiveness
Develop scalable modules to ensure all training programs are consistent and ready for a potentially global audience
Facilitate scoping meetings with subject-matter-experts and technical project leads; devise and drive training communication updates
Acute attention to detail in a deadline-driven environment
Effectively manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
About the team
The Technical Content team is responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality training content and materials to serve Rural and Rapid logistics associates and leaders. The team play a strategic role in incorporating new elements and customer feedback into existing training material and support training program ongoing maintenance.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelors Degree required in Instructional Design, Education Technology, or similar field
Extensive experience with authoring tools, such as Lectora, Storyline, or similar, as well as JavaScript for xAPI
3 + years relevant experience in an instructional design role
Experience designing and developing interactive training materials in multiple modalities, including ILT, e-learning, video, and/or job aids
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Instructional Design, Graphic Design, Education Technology, or similar field
Proven work experience designing and delivering training solutions to large organizations
Solid project management skills including, planning work, managing details, and keeping multiple tasks/projects on track
Industry certifications in instructional design, curriculum development, performance improvement, project management, and content-specific certifications as appropriate (e.g. CPTD, CPT, PMP, etc.)
Advanced Multimedia development in audio, video, and/or animation (e.g. Adobe Illustrator, PhotoShop)
Experience with emerging tech trends for content creation (e.g. gamification, VR, xAPI)
Experience creating high quality and engaging voice-over for training materials
Experience developing training content for localization to multiple languages/cultures
Demonstrated ability to assess training effectiveness and ROI to stakeholders and leaders
Exceptional ability to earn trust of subject matter experts and stakeholders
Executive level verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities
Experience using beta testing environments for rapid iteration based content modifications
Experience troubleshooting ambiguous technical issues and collaborating with software teams from discovery through resolution

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $94,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
