Job Title: Senior Tax Associate (Contractor)

Robert Half is in search of a detail-oriented and skilled Contract Senior Tax Associate for a prestigious client in Nashville, TN. The perfect candidate will be an experienced tax professional with a history of preparing intricate tax returns and delivering strategic tax planning services. Knowledge and experience dealing with ASC 740 tax provisions will be helpful for this role.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Preparation and review of sophisticated corporate federal and state income tax returns.
Perform comprehensive tax research and planning in accordance with relevant tax laws.
Aid in gaining a clear understanding of the tax effects of their business strategies and effectively manage their tax obligations.
Stay updated with tax laws and regulations to ensure client compliance.
Provide necessary support during tax audits and address any discrepancies in a timely manner.
Participate in tax projections and forecasts.
Multi-state tax return preparation.
Assist with ASC 740 tax provision preparation and documentation.
Requirements
Candidate Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field mandatory
CPA certification helpful
Minimum of 5 years of professional tax accounting experience.
Experience with ASC 740 tax provision is advantageous.
Proficient in large tax software and MS Office Suite.
Robust knowledge of US GAAP and tax-related legislation.
Superior attention to detail, robust analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to cope with fast-paced workflow, manage multiple tasks, and work independently.
