About The Role:
As a CBRE Senior eDiscovery Manager, you will be responsible for managing eDiscovery projects on a day-to-day basis. They will work side by side with CBRE’s lawyers, paralegals and other members of the enterprise to provide expertise in the area of eDiscovery.
The Senior eDiscovery Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing and adhering to protocols and procedures for litigation and investigation document management and fact gathering, leading all aspects of proper completion of matters in accordance with CBRE’s Discovery Playbook, working with, and training, lawyers, paralegals and other staff members on the use of data analytics and review technologies, assisting with document preservation, collection, database management and review, and preparation of documents for production.
What You'll Do:
Case Management
Technology-focused project lead on assigned cases and during specific phases of the eDiscovery process
Work with legal and/or compliance teams to plan discovery projects for both electronically stored information (ESI) and paper, including identification, preservation, collection, processing, privilege and relevance review and production of evidence.
Ensure that all case content, document management and database administrative functions are defensibly documented and accessible
Consult with the legal and/or compliance teams regarding standard processes for document management, electronic discovery and matter workflow
Prepare recommendations, budgets and project plans, collection and preservation plans and overall discovery plans
Connect with legal teams on discovery management issues
Coordinate collection efforts with internal or external teams when needed
Enter and update project details in case tracking metrics and task management databases
Attend litigation practice group and case team meetings when required
Participate in the active oversight, development, and evaluation of more junior eDiscovery staff
Training
Design and conduct ongoing training on all stages of the EDRM as implemented at CBRE
Conduct and otherwise participate in training at all staff levels in the best and most efficient use of the eDiscovery supported software tools and techniques
Craft and develop eDiscovery technology training and reference materials
Vendor/Software Management
Coordinate with vendors and CBRE IT staff to ensure case teams have appropriate tools
Make recommendations as to the appropriate review technology for each matter
Advise on vendor selection and coordinate vendor contact and relations
Assess and supervise company use of technology and plan for evolving needs
Data Analysis
Collect, maintain, and analyze project metrics and report to litigation/compliance case teams
Provide assistance with discovery data analytics, processing and productions as needed
Identify metrics to enable trend prediction, proactive strategy, and cost-saving opportunities
Other
Complete multiple priorities and projects as needed
Identify and implement quality and organizational change procedures on an ongoing basis

Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8-10 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
PgMP (Program Management Professional) or PMP (Project Management Professional) certifications preferred. JD a plus.
Strong solid understanding of various litigation support and eDiscovery software applications.
Strong project management skills.
Proven understanding of the litigation process, specifically the document discovery phase.
Knowledge of the Sedona Principles and the EDRM.
Knowledge of Court Rules and Practices related to electronic document discovery.
Knowledge of document analytic tools and technology assisted review.
Knowledge of eDiscovey industry including vendors and industry specific institutions.
Ability to communicate in a concise and effective manner keeping interested parties up-to-date on project status. Ability to explain complex technology or eDiscovery issues to non-experts.
Ability to forecast and prepare budgets.
Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations.
The innovative mentality to develop methods that go beyond existing solutions.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Expert organizational skills with a sophisticated inquisitive mindset.
Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Sr eDiscovery Project Manager position is $130,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Sr eDiscovery Project Manager position is $150,000 annually. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
