Sr. Data Scientist
PRIMARY PURPOSE: To partner with stakeholders to identify, scope, and execute advanced analytics and data science projects; to design data modeling processes, build forecasting models, and share insights that inform and enable business decisions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborates with operations, information technology, and other stakeholders to identify and scope data science projects.
Designs and implements end-to-end ETL (extract, transform, load) data pipelines integrating data from multiple data sources.
Conducts data mining and statistical analysis for generating insights.
Partners with both business and IT leaders to influence how the organization approaches and meets business challenges of an evolving customer base and changing marketplace.
Prepares forecasting staffing models with high degree of accuracy and precision.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs other duties as assigned.
Travel as required.
Education & Licensing
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science or related quantitative field; Advanced degree preferred.
Experience
Seven (7) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience to include five (5) years of data modeling experience with solid background in the fundamentals of exploratory data analysis, forecasting, and predictive modeling.
Skills & Knowledge
Experience in design of data mining and machine learning algorithms for large datasets
Proficiency writing code in Python or R and documenting for reproducibility
Knowledge of modern cloud and data transformation tools such as Snowflake, Hex, dbt and Fivetran
Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills
PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
Analytical and interpretive skills which translate to business solutions
Ability to create and complete comprehensive model documentation
Ability to collaborate in a team environment
Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies
