Job Summary and Qualifications

The Software Developer Engineer in Test II (SDET II) manages and performs all aspects of the application and automation and functional testing activities for our Sitecore CMS environment. The position requires deep technical skills, the ability to grasp business concepts quickly and experience working in an agile environment. The ideal candidate will consistently strive to learn emerging technologies that would be useful for the job role. Further, this position will require outstanding communication skills in order to collaborate with the project team. This position was support both test automation and functional testing for our Sitecore CMS platform.

Project type expertise includes:

Build new automation test scripts using object oriented programming languages like C#

Build web UI automation using Selenium web driver

Build API and database testing using C# or Java or UiPath

Scheduled daily test execution using CI/CD tool

Knowledge of different database systems and data relationships are critical in this role. Manages and performs all aspects of data analysis and validation, as well as application functional testing activities for a given effort.

Manual and automated test case creation and execution for validating Expanse data for products like the patient portal and registration. The position requires technical skills, the ability to grasp business concepts quickly and experience working in an agile environment.

Clinical data knowledge or experience with clinical products is key to understanding patient scheduling

Creates, oversees and performs all aspects of application testing activities for the scheduling platform including automated and manual testing. Recognized as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in quality best practices. Mentors and coaches other members of the QA team.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyzes functional requirements for initiatives that are expected to return significant business value, may require a change to enterprise business solution(s). Designs, develops test approach, plan, and dependencies.

  • Leads and or validates the development and accuracy of test cases, test data, traceability matrix, and metrics to ensure all testing requirements are accurate. Communicates/Presents results to IT and key stakeholders. Tracks and verifies any required corrections and ensures completion.

  • Oversees or leads less senior SDETs in their daily activities.

  • Modifies test cases; assists the development team in recreation of defects; validates defect fixes based on documented defects.

  • Ability to work with development to build and execute automated tests

  • Participates in development planning meetings with the Product Analyst and development team and communicates with business and IT on the status of testing activities and other assigned activities in meeting project delivery deadlines.

  • Provide project testing metrics and updates to project stakeholders.

  • Continually incorporates process efficiencies without sacrificing quality. Ability to build both manual and automated regression suites and track cost savings for automation.

  • Help define and implement operational and process improvements for testing activities; enable increase in quality of software delivered for testing through increased visibility of defects and delays.

  • Participate in design and ongoing usage of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery and DevOps concepts using tools such as GitHub, Azure DevOps, etc.

  • Build and Maintain an Automation framework for the product.

What qualifications you will need:

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s Degree - Required

EXPERIENCE

5 or more years comparable work experience - Preferred

OTHER/SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge and full understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle

Ability to identify and vocalize areas for efficiencies to be made

Knowledge of IT infrastructure

Experience with security testing

Experience using Digital.ai or other mobile emulation tools

Experience and understanding of HL7 messages

Experience using one or more of the following: Selenium, Java, JSON, Cucumber, SQL, Python, UiPath

Experience in training and supervising/mentoring testers

Experience in data mapping

Ability to succinctly communicate in a variety of media

Demonstrate logic and analytical ability

Experience with API automation and testing

Experience using Azure DevOps

Ability to manage multiple, complex, high-profile projects and deliver on time
