Position Summary
The Senior Field Sales Consultant - Motorcycle Products is responsible for executing sales strategy, managing customer relationships, and ultimately delivering the motorcycle tire business for assigned accounts and programs. This role will work to identify sales leads, promote products, and drive the business to meet sales and financial objectives. Additionally, this position will contribute to strategic thinking and projects such as racing, dealer programming, promotions, and event activation.
Responsibilities
Grow motorcycle products sales by executing strategic sales plans, managing customer relationships, and addressing customer concerns
Develop strategic sales programs to meet annual sales and profit objectives
Provide product and service information to customers
Ensure programs are successfully coordinated and communicated
Contribute to business forecasting processes
Public speaking for the purpose of product training and media interaction
Research and communicate market and industry trends
Execute marketing & communications strategies through frequent interaction with internal centers of excellence (COE’s) and marketing agencies, assist in development and execution of social media strategy, and maximizing event marketing effectiveness and efficiency
Evaluate strategic opportunities to increase sales and achieve business objectives
Supports new product launches including development of marketing/promotional materials, product demos, selling decks, etc.
Frequent interaction with Bridgestone Japan on all aspects of assigned customer needs, product needs, and product launches
Carry out negotiations with customers within the limits of agreed guidelines. Lead negotiation of Supply/ Service and Price agreements with customers, and liaise with the company’s Corporate Legal departments.
Monitor market activities (customers/competitors/trends etc) and report as and when appropriate
Minimum Qualifications
Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years of experience; or equivalent work experience. Motorcycle experience is a plus
Project management experience; capable of leading cross functional projects
Experience working in matrix organization
Take charge mentality with serious commitment to accountability, ownership, and a strong work ethic
Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Upward career potential
Must be willing to travel up to 50%, including some weekends for events
