Amazon Manager, Supply Chain Management, Relay Operations Center (ROC) Equipment in Nashville, Tennessee
Description
The Relay Operations Center (ROC) of Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) is looking for a Supply Chain Manager to manage transportation projects, implement and improve metrics, collaborate with tech and operations to ensure that shipments move through the network (Middle Mile) in a way that is scalable and ensures industry leading customer experience. The candidate will make data driven decisions which will have direct impact on the customer experience. Many decisions will require high velocity decision making with limited information, along with improving the process or technology. The Relay Operations Center is constantly changing and improving: “Industry Standard” does not apply.
Key job responsibilities
Hands-on development of a collaborative and cross functional team
Coordinating with other teams such as Planning and optimization, Carrier Management, Fulfillment Centers, Sort Centers, ROC Operations and Tech Teams to meet strategic goals
Responding with best in class service to internal clients (Fulfillment Centers/Sort Center/Delivery Stations/Program/Tech Teams) regarding on time performance, costs, status of freight, availability of freight and exceptions to the schedule of freight
Creating and implementing improvements to our transportation network that deliver flexible and efficient products for our customers; such as network configuration changes
Contributing to labor planning and staffing for the Relay Operations Center
Clearly and concisely communicating within team and other Amazon groups
Providing direction and communicating needs to Tech partners to build tools
Ensure updated standard work standard operating procedures (SOP) and trainings are available to all teammates
Manage a team
Travel domestically up to 20%
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
5+ years of team management experience
5+ years of cross functional project delivery experience
5+ years of program or project management experience
2+ years of supply chain experience
Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
