Responsibilities

Apply specialized clinical knowledge and advanced clinical skills in the areas of assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental, emotional, behavioral and developmental disorders, conditions and addictions.

  • Administer and interpret tests and measures of psychosocial functioning for the purpose of diagnosing mental, emotional, behavioral, addictive and developmental disorders and disabilities.

  • Develop and implement appropriate assessment-based treatment plans.

  • Consult with team managers, statutory and voluntary agencies and patient's relatives to ensure compliance with the patient's treatment plan.

  • Provide crisis-oriented psychotherapy as well as short-term and long-term psychotherapy and psychotherapeutic treatment.

  • Document patient therapy in accordance with both federal and state regulations.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • One or more of the following required:

  • Social Worker specializing in Clinical Practice obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Social Workers obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

  • Preferred Credential(s):

  • Drivers License.

Education:

  • Master's degree in Social Work required.

Work Experience:

  • 3 years of experience preferred.

Additional Preferences

LBHC overview:

Provide behavioral health counseling services.

  • Conduct patient assessments and establish therapy treatment goals.

  • Administer individual and group therapy. Maintain thorough and confidential records of observations.

  • Evaluate progress and effectiveness of therapy interventions.

  • Provide patient with information regarding resources and therapeutic activities in the community.

  • Work directly with the patient, family, physician and community providers to ensure active and collaborate care from the initiation of treatment to the time of discharge.

  • Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • One or more of the following required:

  • Counselor specializing in Mental Health credentialed from the Tennessee Board for Professional Counselors and Marital and Family Therapists obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

  • Bachelor Social Worker credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Social Workers obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

  • Social Worker specializing in Clinical Practice credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Social Workers obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

  • BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
