Job Summary and Qualifications

The IAM Application Engineer Architect will fortify our organization and spearhead the crafting, execution, and upkeep of our identity governance and administration (IGA) platform. As an IAM Application Engineer Architect, you will be accountable for providing architectural leadership and expertise in integrating applications into our IGA framework. You will unite with cross-functional teams, including application owners, developers, and security analysts, to guarantee the successful onboarding of applications while adhering to industry best practices and compliance requirements. You will act as a mentor providing expert knowledge to other team members, and foster growth among team members. Through an expert level of design pattern knowledge, you will establish best practices and design reusable patterns to influence and implement connections with other enterprise software.

  • Spearhead the architecture and craft of IGA application onboarding processes, guaranteeing scalability, efficiency, and compliance.

  • Strategize with application owners and stakeholders to elicit requirements, assess access needs, architectural constraints and formulate appropriate IGA controls and policies.

  • Engineer and streamline processes and workflows for application onboarding, leveraging industry best practices and automation where possible.

  • Provide architectural leadership and insight in integrating applications into the IGA framework, navigating technical challenges and ensuring seamless integration.

  • Define access control models, including identity lifecycle management, role-based access control, and segregation of duties.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation and integration of onboarding processes and tools.

  • Develop tools, processes, and deliver KPIs to monitor and analyze IGA system performance and security logs, proactively identifying and addressing any anomalies or security incidents.

  • Stay ahead of emerging IGA architecture trends, technologies, and best practices, making recommendations for process improvements and system enhancements .

  • Mentor and guide other team members involved in the application onboarding process.

  • Foster a culture of security awareness and continuous improvement, championing IGA best practices and knowledge sharing within the organization.

  • Collaborate with vendors and external partners to evaluate and implement new IGA technologies and enhancements.

  • Communicate progress, risks, and achievements related to application onboarding to senior management and other stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

  • As we support hospitals that care for patients 24x7x365, commit to 24x7x365 on-call support rotation with 10-minute response times.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree Information Technology or other applicable degree

  • 10+ years of experience in Identity & Access or Information Technology job role

Other Qualifications

  • Microsoft (C#, ASP.net, MS-SQL, Active Directory, Azure, Entra ID) + Oracle

  • Expert knowledge in Database design, Data Warehousing ETLs, t-SQL performance improvement with large datasets exceeding 1 Million rows, Index tuning, and stored procedures

  • Expert Knowledge in HTML, CSS, Javascript, URL coding, JSON, XML, SOAP, and Rest API, including performance and error trapping

  • Command Line, Powershell, Python, uiPath, API (SOAP / REST), COM, DCOM

  • Professional certifications in IGA (e.g., CISSP, IGA-specific certifications) are highly desirable.

  • Proven ability to manage projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex access control scenarios and identify root causes.

  • Excellent understanding of network and system security principles and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption.

  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of identity governance and administration (IGA) concepts, methodologies, and best practices.

  • Extensive experience in designing and implementing IGA application onboarding processes, including architecture, workflows, and integration with various systems and applications.

  • Strong proficiency in IGA tools and technologies, such as Saviynt, Imprivata, their integration capabilities, and architectural best practices.

  • Understanding of industry regulations and frameworks related to IGA, such as HIPAA, and HITECH.
