Major Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure a smooth and timely customs process flow for all customs related activities
Daily execution of workflow and department metrics
Transfer declaration information from commercial documents, or other sources into our customs entry system
Accurate and timely data entry to allow for the build of a complete US Customs declaration
Build and maintain strong relationships with the customers and government organizations
Guarantee compliance to regulations at all times, both internal and external
Track and Trace shipments for valid data transmission to US customs and Partner Government Agencies
Understand all elements of the import customs Desk Level Operating Procedure and correctly interpret this information to fulfill our customer´s instructions and expectations
Identify and manage exceptions while also identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
Seek ways to enhance productivity, KPI’s, process improvements, compliance and customer satisfaction
Effectively manage and organize emails for timely follow up
Consistently display and promote the company’s 10 cultural attributes: Appearance, Attitude, Confidence, Curiosity, Excellence, Integrity, Pride, Resolute, Sense of Humor, and Visionary
Customer Service: 6 months to 1 year experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred but not required. We hire for attitude and train for skill.
Understanding of transportation and US Customs documentation is a plus
Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results
Understanding of the importance of quality customer service and its effect on all facets of a successful business and brand
Proactive and organized approach to learning and executing on the job
Strong desire to learn
Sense of urgency and works well under pressure
Immense attention to detail
Team player mentality
Proficient computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote)

Fluent in English
