Safe Step Walk In Tub is currently seeking an individual to fill an immediate need for a B2C Consumer Credit/ AR Manager. This is a Hybrid role based out of our Nashville, TN location, in accordance with the Safe Step Flex schedule; 3 days office / 2 days remote.  ​

As a B2C Consumer Credit/ AR Manager, you will administer the daily credit and collection management duties of the credit department within the guidelines set forth in the company credit policy manual consistent with the various approval limits assigned to each credit manager. The execution of this task must be accomplished in the manner which is both sales supportive, minimizes credit losses and maximizes return on accounts receivable investment.

Responsibilities:

Some responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Compliance and Legal Oversight: Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to consumer debt collection. This involves staying up to date with changes in legislation, implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance, and training staff in these requirements. Obtain and maintain a working knowledge of all local, state, and federal laws and regulations pertaining to the management and collection of accounts receivable including but not limited to: The Fair Debt Collection Practices ACT (FDCPA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), Anti-Trust, Liens, Bonds, Record Retention, Sarbanes-Oxley, and the Uniform Commercial Code.

  • Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure that all collection activities are carried out ethically and professionally, maintaining our values and mission. This involves but is not limited to monitoring calls and communications, resolving any issues that arise, and ensuring a high standard of customer service.

  • Develop measurable goals and reporting on results of collection activities for staff in area of responsibility.

  • Serve as a team lead for four A/R & collections associates.

  • Operational Efficiency:

  • Analyze and improve operational processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness. This may involve adopting new technologies, streamlining workflows, or optimizing communication strategies with debtors.

  • Follow closely the course of aging accounts and determine action to be taken on delinquent accounts

  • Plan and maintain a program for the systematic follow-up and collection of receivables

  • Protect and enforce Mechanics Lien rights on past-due A/R

  • Follow up on disputes in a timely manner and work with salespeople and customers to resolve.

  • Facilitate bad debt recovery by monitoring potential write-offs and collecting on previous write-offs, and taking legal action when necessary

  • Partner closely with business leadership on collection strategy for past-due accounts.

  • Occasional travel within a defined area may be necessary

  • Performing other duties and functions as requested by management

Qualifications:

A successful B2C Consumer Credit/ AR Manager will possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in the Finance field preferred

  • 5+ yrs Consumer Finance/ Credit Management experience preferred

  • Experience in Credit, Collections, and/or Accounts Receivable

  • Self-confident, strong communication skills and inquisitive

  • Good judgment, problem solving skills, and ability to see the “big picture”

  • Handle stress, manage time and people and analyze numbers

  • Desire and ability to serve customers

Pay Range:

$4,124.70 - $9,075.00

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
