The Cigna Group Corporate Security Advisor - Physical Systems / Technology - Hybrid in Nashville, Tennessee

Serve as a technical member of Cigna's Global Security & Aviation (GS&A) team. Provide administrative and technical support to the enterprise physical security program to include programming, monitoring, auditing of our technology platforms (Ccure9000, VideoEdge, DSC, Prowatch, MaxPro, Vista, etc.). Additionally, the position will collaborate with regional security operations, including security operations center(s) to create efficiencies through analysis and best practices.

This position supports offices nationwide but will be stationed in of the following office locations: Tampa or Orlando, FL, Nashville or Memphis, TN. Competitive candidates must reside within a commutable distance to one of these locations listed and willing to travel.

Position Scope:

  • Support for both Tyco and Honeywell product lines including programming, administration, installations, office security standard, installation standards, etc.

  • Interfaces with security product manufacturers, suppliers and contractors (general and specialized) to evaluate system components compatibility and resolve technical issues.

  • Assist in developing security concepts into integrated security systems for Cigna offices. Perform quality control reviews for security designs to maintain established standards and control cost.

  • Identify initiatives to reduce overhead costs.

  • Provide training and mentorship to users of GS&A technology, including Regional Security Representatives, ID Badging, Security Operations Center, and Business Areas.

  • Manage security system malfunctions, including security request, repairs and tracking of supplier SLA/KPI’s.

  • Support site level testing program and ensure repairs are made when testing identifies issues.

  • Support physical security incidents, including providing video review and activity reports to prove/disprove findings.

  • Monitor security hardware to insure proper operation, excessive alarms, door hardware problems, communication errors, device troubles, video loss, etc. Develop metrics on average repair time, response time, return calls, expected life of equipment, etc.

  • Perform auditing of deployed technology to ensure compliance with GS&A/Cigna Information Protection standards.

  • Assist in developing security scope and support real estate project process, including system commissioning and acceptance testing.

Tasks and Accountabilities:

Provide support for Cigna deployed Tyco & Honeywell systems, including management of Service Request process, programming & installation standards, project work, system auditing, supervision, system reports and tracking of all types of system related issues, e.g., issues with ID Badge reader, security door, camera, and generally monitor all systems health. Provide technical guidance and support for all Cigna locations and systems whether on Tyco, Honeywell or other non-standard platform. As needed interface with IT departments and Cigna business areas to resolve issues. Support project and service request work including scheduling, implementation, and change management process; ensured compliance with all Cigna requirements. Consult as needed with GS&A region representatives to address security-related technical gaps/issues. Function as a resource for all installed system related issues:

  • Identify and determine the cause of hardware problems rendering any part of the system inoperable.

  • Report on faulty or malfunctioning hardware and ensure proper repair of associated hardware.

  • Notify and act as primary interface between security supplier technicians, site rendering service, property management, 3rd party suppliers, to coordinate and correct malfunctioning hardware.

  • Review and approve work completed on related security components resulting from a service request to ensure invoicing accuracy.

  • Support move, add, and change work (MAC).

  • Support relationship with 3rd party alarm monitoring service, e.g., new accounts and permits, updating call lists, alarm review and audit of POTS lines.

  • Up to 30% travel may be required.

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience utilizing Tyco/Honeywell hardware/software and associated products including video cameras

  • Well versed with Microsoft Office products including schedule, AutoCAD, & Visio

  • Must have at least 75% of system certifications (or obtain within 90d) for CCURE9000, Video Edge, ProWatch, MaxPro, DSC, Vista as well as training on Axis cameras.
