Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team. This role involves repairing equipment during machine breakdowns and machining parts for machines. The ideal candidate will have experience in manual machining, including the use of manual mills and lathes, and will be proficient in reading blueprints and using micrometers and calipers. CNC machining is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Repair equipment during machine breakdowns.

  • Machine parts for machines using manual mills and lathes.

  • Read and interpret blueprints.

  • Use micrometers and calipers to rebuild equipment and parts for the line.

  • Perform manual machining tasks such as grinding, inspection, and mechanical repair.

Essential Skills

  • Manual machining experience with manual mills and lathes.

  • Ability to read blueprints.

  • Proficiency with micrometers and calipers.

  • Experience in CNC machining.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of industrial equipment.

  • Familiarity with schematics.

Work Environment

This position is within an industrial union plant working on a 2-2-3-3 schedule. You will initially start on the day shift and may transition to other shifts as needed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.79 - $32.79
