Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Nashville, Tennessee
Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team located in Nashville, Tennessee. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be the sole contributor to our accounts payable operations, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of invoices and maintaining vendor relations. This is a short term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Execute the accounts payable function, handling 300-400 invoices monthly
• Code invoices appropriately for correct categorization and tracking
• Address and resolve any discrepancies with vendors promptly and professionally
• Track invoice payments to ensure timely payment and avoid late charges
• Handle transactions including credit card charges and conventional accounts payable invoices
• Use MIP software for managing accounts payable operations, prior experience not required
• Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy in financial records
• Handle data entry tasks and maintain updated records
• Utilize skills in Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for efficient task completion
• Experience working with small to medium-sized companies is preferred. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, with a proven ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Extensive experience in Accounts Payable (AP), including managing payments and maintaining vendor relationships.
• Ability to conduct regular Check Runs, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
• Proficiency in Coding Invoices, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• Strong Data Entry skills, with the ability to input large volumes of data quickly and accurately.
• Experience in Invoice Processing, including validating details, verifying totals, and resolving discrepancies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, v-lookups, and other advanced functions.
• Familiarity with Oracle, with the ability to navigate and use the software effectively.
• Experience with QuickBooks, including inputting data, generating reports, and managing financial records.
• Knowledge of SAP, with the ability to use it for financial management and reporting.
