Description
Are you an Accounting Clerk looking to join a well-respected organization? Accountemps is looking for a candidate to support a department as an Accounting Clerk. This role is with a company in the Plastics Manufacturing industry. The Accounting Clerk will match invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assist with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a long-term temporary-to-full-time employment opportunity based in the Nashville, Tennessee area.
What you get to do every day
Compose statements and reports that require utilization of a wide collection of sources
Circulate financial information to journals and ledgers
Overall accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
Square up discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required
Aid Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing
Support Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance
Organize documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes
Requirements
Outstanding data entry skills
Spreadsheet and ERP system experience recommended
AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
Ability to handle multiple tasks to prioritize needs and expedite tasks upon request
Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
Expertise in Accounts Receivable (AR)
