BAE Systems is looking for an experienced Test Engineer for our Integrated Test Engineering (ITE). The ITE organization s mission is to reliably deliver customer-focused, affordable test solutions which are integrated across all levels of production test. Experience the entire life cycle of a program to include bid and proposal, advanced development and demonstration, test design and development, product fielding, procurement, and sustainment.

The selected candidate will be part of a test engineering team throughout the product lifecycle and you will motivate and inspire the engineering team across geographical boundaries to achieve more than they believe is possible! The ideal candidate must be a motivated self-starter, able to complete assignments with little oversight while being available as a subject matter expert and technical lead to their team. They must be able to assume a full or partial lead role as circumstances dictate and be able to quickly and dynamically switch focus to accommodate the daily activities of an engineering team supporting a production environment. This individual should be comfortable providing accurate technical status to program management or direction to individual contributors as part of their job function, as well as interfacing with other engineering disciplines as necessary. The Test Engineer should have a strong background in Software, Electrical or Computer Engineering, and possess a demonstrated ability in designing, developing, debugging, integrating, and deploying complex automated test systems, test applications, documentation, and Commercial Instrumentation for testing Military Comms, Navigation, and Electronic Warfare equipment.

Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Experienced in architecting, designing, analyzing/deriving requirements, coding and code modification, integration, and sell-off of test software for analog, digital, RF, and hybrid modules at board level, system level, and subsystems level using commercial and custom test measurement equipment.

  • Experience in C/C#, National Instrument (NI) Test Stand, Python, and CVI software development environments.

  • Experience in evaluating and debugging test solution to identify product design flaws.

  • Experience in developing instrument drivers, utilities, test executives, and test software used to support testing and verification activities for system development, production, and sustainment testing activities.

  • Experience in developing documentation for test requirements, test design, test plan, and operating procedures for acceptance test and environmental stress screening applications.

  • Experienced in using test instrumentation such as Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generators, Microwave/RF measurements etc.

  • Familiar with basic RF testing concepts such as VSWR, Gain, Compression, Phase Noise etc.

  • Experience in HW debugging (test adapters, cables, tools, and interface modules)

  • Motivated, self-starter, good communication skills, team player, and can-do attitude.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Experience in factory production test stands, problem isolation and resolution.

  • Experienced in developing RF test measurements for production.

  • Familiar with boundary scan tools and software

  • Familiar with FPGA programming and debugging.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $92290 - $156860

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
