Covenant Health LNA NURSING INSTRUCTOR/COORDINATOR in Nashua, New Hampshire
Summary
Plans the Nursing Assistant educational program and performs diversified duties in the instruction, direction, supervision and evaluation of NA students in accordance with the school's philosophy and outcomes. Participation shall include curriculum development and revisions and evaluation of program outcomes utilizing evidence-based practice.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Supports and promotes the mission and values of Covenant Health Ministry.
Plans an annual program of course offerings.
Interviews and selects students for the program.
Assists with recruitment and provides information about the program.
Coordinates student clinical placements and supervises students on-site.
Creates an environment that promotes student learning.
Uses evidence-based strategies in classroom and practice.
Develops/provides opportunities for students to learn necessary skills.
Acts as a role model for professional practice.
Provides students with timely constructive feedback and advice regarding their performance and assists students with individual learning needs.
Assists the student in developing an understanding of values, attitudes and ideals appropriate for their level.
Participates in the review/revisions to the curriculum at least annually.
Attends school committee meetings and reports on the NA program.
Needs Epic access.
Other duties as consistent with this role.
Job Requirements
Job Knowledge and Skills
Computer skills, teaching or precepting experience preferred.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in nursing required.
NH Registered Nurse license required
Two years of recent experience in nursing appropriate to clinical setting strongly preferred
Two years’ experience with the elderly or chronically ill of any age, with one-year experience in long-term care facility services strongly preferred
