Aston Carter Purchasing Manager in Naperville, Illinois

Qualifications:

7+ years of recent Purchasing/Supply chain experience

Bachelor's degree - Supply chain, Business management, or related field

Hours:

Monday through Friday

8am to 5pm

Description:

•Maintains responsibility for key commodities as agreed upon with the Strategic Sourcing Team

•Ensures compliance to standard operating procedures; develops maintains standard operating procedures

•Acts as Purchasing liaison for organization-wide activities (e.g. annual inventory physical count)

•Ensures effective implementation of new processes/procedures for purchasing and receiving of products

•Creates action plans to address identified system/process/training needs as it relates to the annual business plan

•Tracks metrics to evaluate performance in the areas of customer service, procurement and inventories

•Conducts training/on-boarding of new hires for Purchasing Department functions

•Leads testing and purchasing team sign off on system enhancements

•Champions major purchasing change initiatives

•Ensures the purchasing team reviews part item setup every quarter to ensure we optimize our stocking plan.

•Management retains the discretion to add or change the duties of this position at any time.

•Ownership of Inventory levels of purchased components to prescribed turns metrics.

•Ownership of the PO through the Receipt Process.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00
