TEKsystems IT Support Technician in Naperville, Illinois
Currently looking to hire IT support technician with strong knowledge Point of sale (POS) equipment to support a major retailer in the Chicagoland area. You will be supporting POS refresh efforts across the US by troubleshooting network/IP connectivity for new terminals remotely with the onsite installation teams to ensure all systems are operational.
Responsibilities & Ideal Skillset:
o Basic understanding of multilane EFT terminals and payment systems (coming from a retail or grocery experience is preferred)
o Basic understanding of estate management technology (they will be trained on this)
o Basic understanding of networking concepts / pinging IPs, IP configuration, ensuring devices can connect to the network
They will be working with instore technicians to ensure that all of the stores credit card readers are working properly. If a system or multiple systems are
offline, the store will not be able to open since 93% of transactions are with credit cards
o Excellent customer service skills - they will be working with technicians who will be physically in the stores doing the terminal upgrades triaging all of the
issues that are happening in the stores
