Key Elements of The Chef Manager Position:

  • Lead and role model Crisp Kitchen & Juice standards and expectations

  • Create, implement and maintain kitchen and production systems, tools and process

  • Hire, orient, train, supervise, lead, coach and motivate kitchen team members

  • Team player with a collaborative style and approach

  • Strong leadership, relationship, team building and conflict management skills

  • Teach and coach all team members, sets clear expectations of cleanliness, finesse, conduct and service

  • Implement local sourcing, seasonality and sustainable procurement

  • Implement strategies to assure 100% guest satisfaction of food and beverage

  • Assure execution at the highest level of food and beverage aesthetics

  • Create, implement and maintain procedures for cost, waste (zero waste target), and quality control

  • Coordinate and resolve all maintenance issues and arrange for preventive maintenance/repair; establish key maintenance contractors

  • Monitor and enforce food safety, COVID protocols, housekeeping and sanitation standards

  • Practice a relentless pursuit of consistency, quality, order, and cleanliness. Able to enforce standards

  • Responsible for establishing vendor relationships, developing order guides, coordinating purchasing/deliveries and monitoring for quality/quantity daily

  • Demonstrated financial acumen w/ability to cost-out new dishes/products, manage inventory, familiarity with a declining budget model, meet COGS targets

  • Food Software Program Management – Create, implement and execute

  • Problem Solving - Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, solution oriented

  • Culinary depth and experience; baking and beverage a +

  • Technical Cooking Skills – Range of culinary expertise, coach and share with others

  • Visionary Leadership - Display passion and optimism; Inspire greatness, respect and trust

  • Quality & Improvement Management - Look for ways to constantly improve and promote quality
