WSP USA Principal Contaminated Sites Specialist (CSAP) in Nanaimo, British Columbia

As a registered professional in BC, with 10-15 years of experience in this field, and ideally a Contaminated Sites Approved Professional, you will be part of our growing team meeting our client needs around the BC province. A day in the life:

  • You are a senior leader, working with the BC team to win work, where you will lead, plan and execute projects at contaminated sites for a wide range of sectors including mining, oil and gas, transportation, and government agencies

  • You work closely with various practitioners including our Contaminated Sites Approved Professionals, and have access to a team with deep technical knowledge and expertise

  • You direct projects from proposal to implementation, including proposal preparation, contract review, project delivery, financial control, and client relationship management to ensure deliverables meet client expectations for scope, budget, schedule, and quality

  • You have excellent interpersonal skills that you will leverage to empower your colleagues

  • You are well-supported by your colleagues from various disciplines and levels, helping you be successful in reaching your personal and project goals

What You'll Bring To WSP

Recognizing that not everyone will tick all the boxes, here are some of the key things you will bring to the team. We encourage you to apply if you know you can make a difference:

  • You have a positive and enthusiastic can-do attitude, and a willingness to both learn and share your knowledge

  • You are self-motivated, willing to be flexible and nimble, and able to think outside the box

  • You have at least a bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geoscience, Biology, or related discipline

  • You have a minimum of 10-15 years of experience in environmental consulting

  • You have a relevant professional designation registered in BC such as a P.Eng., P.Geo., P.Ag., P.Chem., or an R.P.Bio.

  • You are (or interested/eligible to become) a member of the Society of Contaminated Sites Approved Professionals of British Columbia

  • You have proven experience in providing technical and regulatory advice to clients and completing senior review of project deliverables

  • You have a demonstrated ability to lead a project team of professionals with excellent communication skills both internally with staff and externally with clients

  • You have a clean Driver’s Abstract, and are willing to travel on occasion

Compensation

Expected Salary (British Columbia): $122,500 to $168,500

The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. The salary range provided in this job posting may be subject to change for business purposes.
