About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Medical Officer to join our team and play a pivotal role in providing high-quality patient care at our outpatient medical centers. The ideal candidate will perform thorough medical assessments, diagnose and treat a variety of conditions, and develop tailored treatment plans to meet patients' needs. In addition, you will mentor junior staff, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and uphold our commitment to ethical and professional healthcare standards.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations, including patient histories, physical exams, and diagnostic tests.
Diagnose and treat a range of acute and chronic conditions, ensuring evidence-based care.
Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, including prescribing medications and therapies.
Counsel patients and their families, offering support and health education.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Maintain accurate and confidential medical records for all patient interactions.
Participate in clinical audits and implement best practices for quality improvement.
Mentor and supervise junior medical staff, supporting their professional growth.
Qualifications & Experience
MBChB from a recognized medical institution.
Active registration with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board (KMPDB).
At least 2 years of experience in an outpatient setting.
Proficiency in diagnosing and treating diverse medical conditions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Personal Attributes
