Boeing Research & Technology (BR&T) defines, executes and delivers innovative engineering technology solutions to the entire Boeing enterprise. The Boeing Research & Technology team in Japan specifically supports regional innovation excellence across SE Asia in collaboration with industry, academia, and government partners.

We are seeking a mid-level Mechanical & Structural Engineer to join the Digital Engineering team in Japan. As a member of the BR&T Digital Engineering Global Center, a distributed organization of more than 160 engineers around the world, you will play a crucial role in targeted research and functional support projects across the enterprise, focusing on Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE) at the forefront of digital transformation. Your work will involve creating digital threads using system models and integrating various engineering tools. As you progress, you will have the chance to expand into broader disciplines.

This position is based in Nagoya and is an open-ended contract.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Developing digital engineering capabilities in structural and mechanism modelling for various aircraft components, such as landing gears.

• Use CAE tools for mechanism modelling and Finite Element simulation for structural analysis.

• Applying system thinking within the context of digital transformation.

• Develop processes using commercial PLM tools like 3DEXPERIENCE.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Engineering Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent degree.

• Have a minimum of 3 years proven experience in relevant application areas.

• System thinking capability.

• Experience in aircraft structural and mechanical design processes.

• Experience with commercial PLM tools like 3DEXPERIENCE

• Proficiency in mechanical modelling and simulation, using CAE tools, including kinematic and dynamic analysis.

• Experience in Finite Element simulation for structural analysis and optimization processes.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

Preferred Experience:

• Strong system engineering experience.

• MBSE tool expertise, e. g., Cameo Systems Modeler.

• Experience in software development, MDAO concepts, and requirements management.

• Experience in hydraulic modelling and simulation (e. g. Simulink, Amesim, Simscape, or Dymola).

• Knowledge in developing processes within the scope of digital transformation.

• Project management skills.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills in Japanese.

• For native Japanese language speakers, English translation support can be provided for interview stage only.

Boeing Japanでは、国内のデジタルエンジニアリングチームにてミドルレベルの Mechanical & Structural Engineer を募集しています。 全世界において160人以上のエンジニアが所属するBR&T デジタル エンジニアリング グローバル センターのメンバーの一員として、モデルベース システム エンジニアリング (MBSE) に重点を置いた、全社的な技術研究開発のプロジェクトにデジタルトランスフォーメーションの最前線で貢献いただきます。システムモデルを使用したデジタルスレッドの作成や、様々なエンジニアリングツールの統合に携わっていただく中で、より経験の幅を広げていただくことができます。

名古屋での勤務となり、正社員ポジションとなります。

業務内容（下記以外の内容が含まれる場合もございます）：

ランディング ギアなどの様々な航空機部品の構造および機械モデリングにおけるデジタルエンジニアリング性能の開発

CAEツールを使用した機構モデリング、有限要素シミュレーション(FEA)を用いた構造解析

デジタルトランスフォーメーション(DX)の観点からのシステム概念の導入

3DEXPERIENCEのような商用PLMツールを使用したプロセス開発

必須スキル：

工学、コンピューターサイエンス、数学、または物理学における学士号、修士号、または博士号

3年以上の関連業務のご経験

システム構築能力

航空機の構造設計、機械設計に関する経験

3DEXPERIENCEのような商用PLMツールの使用経験

動力学・運動学的解析を含むCAEツールを使用した機械的モデリングおよびシミュレーションに精通していること。

構造解析および最適化プロセスのための有限要素解析(FEA)の経験。

優れた分析力と問題解決力

ビジネスレベル以上の英語力（読み書き、スピーキング双方）

歓迎スキル：

システムエンジニアリングのご経験

MBSEツール（Cameo Systems Modelerなど）の専門知識
