GAF Administrative Coordinator in Myerstown, Pennsylvania

Team or Function Overview

The Operations Administrative Coordinator is responsible for assisting and supporting projects, activities, and daily initiatives for the Myerstown, PA Facility. The Operations Assistant should thrive under pressure, be a team player, and a strong communicator. The person selected for this role should be adaptable and have the ability to execute multiple tasks and assignments with limited direction by the assigned deadlines. This position will report directly to the Plant Manager.

Essential Duties

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide administrative and office support for the Operations and Human Resources functions

  • Coordinate meetings, luncheons, events, plant tours, etc.

  • Contribute to positive community engagement by assisting with advertising, and company events.

  • File paperwork and maintain/enhance file organization

  • Data entry and tracking of safety activities, training, attendance, etc.

  • Order equipment/office supplies

  • Plan employee monthly appreciation, safety lunches, site celebrations, etc.

  • Schedule various safety and compliance trainings

  • Assist with the local payroll processes via ADP e-Time

  • Conduct daily review of raw material receipts

  • Track employee safety engagement and record information from monthly safety meetings

  • Create presentations, spreadsheets, flyers, documents and assist with positing internal communications via GAF Link, email, and physical postings

  • Spendtimeinplantscommunicatinganddevelopingrelationshipswithemployeesand responding to inquiries

  • Connect employees with various company resources (i.e. benefits, Workday, Payroll/ADP, etc.)

  • Assist with coordination of pre employment physicals

  • Update internal plant communications as needed, including emails, safety statistics, Digital Communication Boards, bulletin boards, GAF Link, directional signage, safety updates, etc.

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Demands

  • Ability to frequently work in a stationary position for long periods of time

  • Ability to frequently move about to accomplish tasks or to move from one work area to another

  • Close visual acuity to view documents, computer screens, and files

  • Ability to frequently and quickly converse with and convey information to others on the phone and in-person

  • Manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment and keyboards

  • Ability to position self to bend, pull, and reach at or below shoulder level to perform filing duties and application demos

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Minimum 2 years demonstrated professional office experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field

  • Familiarity with planning and running community engagement initiatives

  • Demonstrated experience sitting on a community planning committee

  • Experience in building relationships with vendors and
