Job Title: Civil Design Engineer
Job Description
The Civil Design Engineer will specialize in a variety of land development projects, involving site planning, stormwater management design, utility design, and site development. They will be involved in the design and permitting for development projects around West Michigan. Projects include commercial buildings, private roads, retail, and institutional.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning and site plan development including grading, drainage, zoning, and utilities
Prepare project drawings, calculations, and specifications
Prepare schematic design and drawings, layouts, drafting, and construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D
Evaluate land use and zoning requirements - zoning ordinances and site plan approval
Prepare permit applications, agency review, and approvals
Site visits during the construction phase of the projects
Must Have Qualifications
3+ years of experience in civil design for development projects
Experience with Civil 3D
Nice to have experience:
-PE License or EIT
-Experience with civil engineering project management
-Experience with proposals, RFIs, or project planning
Job Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Muskegon, Michigan.
Work Environment
Office located in Muskegon, MI. Working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, in the office.
