2025 Internship: CWC Manufacturing Engineer (Muskegon, MI)
Description
Responsibilities:
Work closely with the engineering and maintenancefunctions
Problem-solving on current and prospective process opportunities as well as customer complaints
Gain an understanding of patterns, tooling and layout, and systemoperations
Gain an understanding of the blow molding and assembly process for manufacturing automotive fuel systems
Conduct cycle time studies todeterminebottlenecks and drive improvements to reduce scrap and downtime
Create standardized work instructions asneeded
Analyze Scrap and Downtime on a production line, using analytical tools to Pareto and trend scrap drivers, root cause highest scrapdrivers
Work to analyze operational equipment efficiencies and make improvements based on A3/root cause analysis of top items affecting OEE and Scrap
Participate in the operationalmeetings

Qualifications
Qualifications:
pursuing adegree in Engineering or Applied Science with a focus on automation,mechatronicsor robotics
Preference for candidates with skills in the following areas: Data Analysis, Electronics, Software Engineering, Robotics/Automation, Mechatronics
Strong computer and presentation skills - Proficient in Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel and Access Data Base is a plus)
