Actalent QA Technician in Muskego, Wisconsin

Job Title: QA Technician

Job Description

  • Review and approve records to ensure compliance.

  • Identify deviations, initiate, and coordinate completion of Non-Conformance and Corrective Action (CAPA) investigations including root cause analyses.

  • Disposition of raw materials and products as Hold/Release/Quarantine, as applicable, and dispositioning materials in electronic WMS system.

  • Conduct basic food safety/cGMP and quality-related training for new hires.

  • Assist with the development of SOPs related to manufacturing processes and production personnel compliance training.

  • Provide support as needed during audits by regulatory and third parties.

  • Conduct and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual environmental testing as part of the Environmental Monitoring Program.

  • Collect raw materials to prepare and/or conduct testing.

  • Sample finished products to collect data and identify sensory attributes.

  • Evaluate sensory characteristics for product approval and shelf life studies.

  • Work with production personnel to correct processes if the product is out of compliance.

  • Convey test results to the appropriate personnel and follow up if needed.

  • Complete audits based on the production schedule.

  • Conduct and coordinate facility environmental testing.

  • Promote and follow GMPs for the facility.

Work Environment

Food Manufacturing Plant - 50/50 lab vs floor. Training for 3-6 months on 1st shift 6 a.m. - 3 p.m. Then will move to 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. or 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
