Intermountain Health Operations Service Specialist-Select Health in Murray, Utah

Job Description:

The Operations Service Specialist works with leaders in the cultivation of a culture of superior service and high performing teams in the operational areas of SelectHealth Member Services, Claims, Pharmacy Services, Appeals and Grievances and Sales. It is responsible for the success of frontline employees and contractors through training, mentoring, problem resolution, and effective functioning of operational processes and workflows in its specified area.

This position functions as a subject matter expert to answer questions and provide tools, resources, and continued education, enabling caregivers to help meet company goals, key performance indicators and performance guarantees for SelectHealth customers. Through the direction of leadership, this position functions as a representative of operational areas on committees and work groups to collaborate, create, implement and operationalize best practices and processes. It works with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues by coordinating interdepartmentally.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency in advanced operational position in SelectHealth, such as Sr. Health Benefits Specialist (HBS), Pharmacy Benefits Specialist (PBS) II, AR/Enrollment Specialist II, HBS Claims Processor, Appeals Analyst II.

  • Demonstrated ability to be an effective presenter.

Preferred Qualifications

  • • Participation in job shadowing programs.

  • • Certification in all department trainings.

  • • Intermountain or another facilitated Project Management Course and Certification.

  • • Intermediate skills in presentation programs.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$21.98 - $33.48
