This Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will join the Heart Rhythm Cardiology team at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah.

This role is a key member of the multidisciplinary team of nine APPs and six physicians committed to providing quality care to our patients. This opportunity is full time and fully benefits eligible.

The APP is anticipated to work 4-10s per week with call. On average, the APP will work on call one Saturday and one Sunday per every 4-6 weeks. Weekends are split up so an APP is not on call all weekend - stand alone Sunday shift typically followed by a stand alone Saturday shift the next weekend. The weekday call is typically 2-5 weekday evenings per month.

Shifts will be in the Heart Rhythm clinic with rotations in the hospital (Intermountain Medical Center) through CPRU or referrals from the ED, inpatient admissions, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability and desire to work autonomously.

  • Cardiology experience but not required.

  • New grads will be considered.

Job Essentials

Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) are accountable for the provision of patient care at the top of licensure, within their scope of practice. Licensed, credentialed and privileged to perform such duties as:

  • Maintenance and promotion of health and prevention of disease;

  • Assessment, diagnosis, treatment, correction, and consultation;

  • Procedures as outlined by specialty, and referral for health problems;

  • Education of the patient, patient's family, clinical staff, and others;

  • Prescription or administration of prescription drugs or devices in accordance with a consultation and referral plan;

  • Consultation with other healthcare providers;

  • Appropriate and timely documentation of clinical care;

  • Continually learning and developing for optimal patient care and outcomes.

Advanced Practice Providers may also participate in research, utilize evidence-based practice to improve quality patient care, protocol development, care process model development, and best practice standards for assigned patient population throughout our organization.

Minimum Qualifications

Current state license as an Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA).

Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.

  • and -

Eligible for State Controlled Substance License II through V.

  • and -

Eligible for Federal DEA Certificate II through V.

  • and -

BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers.

  • and -

Other certification as required (e.g. ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP).

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$53.77 - $82.97
