This Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will join our Cardiovascular Surgery team at Intermountain Medical Center, a level I trauma center in Murray, Utah.

Our multidisciplinary practice includes five surgeons and ten physician assistants, with additional opportunities to interface with peers across the healthcare organization.

The APP will first assist in cardiovascular surgeries, round on patients in the hospital, admit and discharge patients, as well as offer new patient consultations as needed. We provide care to adult patients through a variety of means, including but not limited to surgical intervention, vein harvest, LVAD therapies, and ECMO.

The APP will typically be scheduled Monday - Friday, shifts starting at 0700. In addition, they will be expected to participate in in-house call 1-2 nights per week and one weekend in three, fielding after-hours calls and participating in emergent or late surgeries as needed. Holiday call is also, equally shared between seven APPs each year, on a rotating basis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability and desire to work autonomously.

  • Prior surgical APP experience.

  • Highly prefer prior cardiovascular surgery APP experience, particularly with endoscopic vein harvest.

  • New grads with CV rotation in surgery will be considered.

Minimum Qualifications

Current state license as an Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN).

Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (Credentialing requirement).

  • and -

Eligible for State Controlled Substance License II through V.

  • and -

Eligible for Federal DEA Certificate II through V.

  • and -

BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers.

  • and -

Other certification as required (e.g. ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP).

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$59.15 - $91.26
