Job DutiesDevelop and test network management system software (Wave Suite - Network Operation Center) using Core Java, Webapp Frameworks (Spring Framework), and Object Relational Mapping (ORM) tools, including Hibernate and JPA (Java Persistence APIs). Perform software development full cycle activities using Java, J2EE, and Kafka in container-based micro services environment. Implement network management features and functionality in a distributed system involving efficient inter-process communication with multi-threads between different processes. Develop enhancements to operational workflows and software dataflows, and design XML/JSON-based object model. Utilize ReactJS to program the front end of applications. Work with communication mechanisms, including REST, CORBA and Kafka, XoS/JSON to implement robust inter-process communication modules (IPCs) to work across components and modules. Test application software with hardware optical networking equipment including WDM, OTN, GMPLS, and SONET/SDH/Ethernet systems to ensure best quality of network management system. Assist customers by providing timely software solutions during times of critical outages and ensuring quick resumption of businesses.Job Requirements:Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience.Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience with the following: Java/J2EE, Core Java, Webapp Frameworks (Spring Framework), Docker, Kafka, JDBC, Hibernate, and JPA (Java Persistence APIs); Protocol stacks and optical networking domain, with knowledge of at least 4 of the following technologies: TCP/IP, WDM, OTN, SONET/SDH, Ethernet, or GMPLS; Oracle Database systems; Routing algorithms and element or network management system (EMS or NMS); and Distributed systems, and containerized environments.Telecommuting permitted up to 40% anywhere in the US.QUALIFIED APPLICANTS: Interested applicants should email their CV to us.jobs@nokia.com & specify Requisition # NJ24- 2209236 in the subject line.If offered employment, must have legal right to work in the U.S. EOE.Nokia of America Corporation offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package.Nokia of America Corporation is an equal opportunity employer.
