Boehringer Ingelheim Senior Systems Engineer - IWS in Muntinlupa, Philippines

The Position

As a member of the IT INF Industrial Workplace Services (IWS) team within the global IT INF Network and INF4OT organization the future position holder will be responsible to actively participate in the global operation and management of workplace services dedicated to demands in production and laboratories. This includes specific PC models (Instrumentation PCs), specific Android devices and special printers. A strong involvement into the regional client services team CS APAC is expected as well, as well as in the INF teams for PC platform and Mobile Device platform.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Active participation in the support of the global industrial workplace technologies and services, including 3rd level incident support and problem resolution tracking

  • Active participation in the improvement of existing and development of new services or systems

  • Take over of global coordination activates, and work with defined end user groups during rollout of PC upgrades or new mobile configuration setups

  • Provide operational support, consulting and governance for business key user regarding IWS topics, e.g. PC security updates, security tread remediation, special PC configuration, etc.

  • Carry out proactive management, identifying incident trends and problem analysis, making use of available client system management tools

  • Ensure that operational tickets and projects adhere to corporate standards, as well as internal working instructions and standard processes

  • Mid term growth: Take over of SoftwareLead or SystemLead roles, or act as a project manager

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of the client device operating systems, i.e. Windows, iOS, Android

  • Strong understanding of client device management technologies, ie. scripting, software distribution, system management center, GPO configuration, Windows OS management

  • Strong understanding of mobile device management technologies, i.e. Intune, SOTI, or similar tool

  • Good understanding of network setup, configuration, and trouble shooting

  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and methodologies to deliver high quality support to meet customer needs

  • Fluency in oral and written English Soft Skills

  • Talented and ambitious individual who thrives for innovation, learning and problem solving

  • Be able to effectively work and collaborate in a global diverse and multi team environment

  • Strong end user communication skills

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Willingness to work also outside business hours if needed - Ability to think in processes and to generate good documentation

  • University degree in computer engineering or similar education

  • 6+ years of experience in working in client services technology or digital workplace area

  • Strong hands on experience in PC problem trouble shooting

  • Strong hands on experience in PC automation technics
