Aerotek Machine Builder in Munster, Indiana

Machine Builder

Responsibilities

  • Read blueprints and build food manufacturing equipment, specifically pizza machines.

  • Use hand and power tools including wrenches, sockets, drills, screwdrivers, saws, and air guns.

  • Fabricate steel and cut using a torch.

  • Install conveyor systems, gearboxes, motors, and perform electrical wiring on food manufacturing machines.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in reading blueprints.

  • Mechanical assembly and machine building experience.

  • Skilled in using hand tools and power tools.

  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and fabrication.

  • Valid driver's license.

  • Must own personal hand tools including wrenches and sockets.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Welding experience.

  • Experience working with food processing equipment.

Shift and Work Environment

The shift is from 6 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with no overtime on contract, ensuring a steady 40-hour workweek. The dress code includes jeans, steel-toed boots, long sleeve shirts, and PPE.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $32.00
