Peoples Bank BSA Quality Assurance Analyst in Munster, Indiana

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical BSA Quality Assurance Analyst to join our BSA/AML team. The BSA Quality Assurance Analyst will be responsible for performing quality assurance reviews in accordance the Banks policies and standard operating procedures within Risk Management. This includes confirming that the appropriate decisions were made, that any decision made is supported and well-documented; narratives are accurate, complete and comply with regulations and internal policies and procedures; and reports are timely and properly executed in accordance with department standards and identifying areas for improvement within the process and mitigate risk.

Additionally, the BSA Quality Assurance Analyst must be able to communicate effectively and work well under pressure to ensure items are reviewed in a timely and efficient manner.This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail and solid understanding of AML regulations and compliance requirements. This individual is also expected to multi-task special projects when requested by management together with theBSA Quality Assurance Analystregular responsibilities. This position supports the overall BSA/AML/CFT and Compliance Program.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • ConductQuality Assurancereviews on the outcomes of triaged AML alerts; completed AML investigation cases, SARs filed Enhanced Due Diligence Reviews and Customer Due Diligence forms.
  • Document findings, recommendations, and remediation efforts in clear and concise reports for management review and regulatory reporting purposes.
  • Provide guidance and support to case owners.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, reviews, and regulatory examinations related BSA processes.
  • Meet required Service Level Agreements (SLA) in accordance to the BSA Policy Guidelines.
  • Stay up to date on industry regulations, best practices, and emerging trends in AML and financial crime prevention.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Business, Accounting, or related field.
  • 3 plus years AML compliance within the financial services industry, with a focus on quality assurance and quality control functions.
  • Strong knowledge of AML regulations, laws, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations to BSA Officer
  • Professional certifications such as CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) preferred.
  • Individual must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision while performing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of Verafin a plus.
