Your day at NTT DATA

The Networking Managed Services Engineer (L3) is responsible for providing a managed service to clients by proactively identifying and resolving technical incidents and problems. Through pre-emptive service incident and resolution activities, as well as product reviews, operational improvements, operational practices, and quality assurance this role maintains a high level of service to clients. The primary objective of this role is to ensure zero missed service level agreement (SLA) conditions. This role is responsible for managing tickets of high complexity, conducts advanced and complicated tasks, and provides resolution to a diverse range of complex problems. This position uses considerable judgment and independent analysis within defined policies and practices. This role applies analytical thinking and deep technical expertise in achieving client outcomes, while coaching and mentoring junior team members across functions.

This role may also contribute to / support on project work as and when required.

What you'll be doing

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in varied range of networking products including troubleshooting/ break fix and implementation.

  • Routing Protocols OSPF Routing Policy and demonstrate knowledge of how to configure, troubleshoot, or monitor IGPs.

  • BGP tweaks for internet edge & enterprise core routing (multiple-AS scenario), community, MED attributes, BGP routing policy, BGP troubleshoot and configuration and demonstrate knowledge of how to configure, troubleshoot, or monitor BGP.

  • QoS (LLQ, CBWFQ) for prioritizing voice, video & business critical data

  • Functionality of Junos CoS for Layer 2/3 networks, CoS processing on Junos devices and configure, troubleshoot, or monitor CoS for Layer 2 or 3 Networks

  • IOS and JunOS hardening for security,

  • EVPN concepts, operation, or functionality of Junos EVPN. Expert configuration and troubleshoot EVPN Fabric, Route types, VXLAN, Multi-homing and configure, troubleshoot, or monitor EVPN.

  • IPv6 network implementation, configuration and operation highly desired,

  • working knowledge of Multicast routing in enterprise environment.

  • Other soft skills like good communication, deployment documentation for projects, analytical skills for troubleshooting are a must.

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in handling Bank’s WAN or a similar network with JNCIE certification.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Degree - Computer Science Graduate/BE/MCA/B-Tech

  • JNCIE – R&S / DC/ SP Certified/

  • Expert Support/L3 Support
