We are on the lookout for a visionary Lead Platform Engineer to anchor our initiatives in GitOps and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) across AWS landscapes. Strategize and oversee the development and maintenance of Terraform modules for AWS multi-account organizations, ensuring the infrastructure is robust, scalable, and secure.
Lead troubleshooting efforts and enhancements of cloud-native services, focusing on Linux containers and Kubernetes, to boost performance and reliability.
Champion GitOps processes, collaborating with team members to refine and advance our infrastructure deployment and management practices.
Utilize advanced Kubernetes strategies, Helm, and Karpenter to facilitate the integration and deployment of both cloud-native and transitioning applications seamlessly.
Incorporate cutting-edge security practices and tools into our workflows, significantly enhancing platform security across diverse environments.
Liaise with development teams to optimize deployment processes, leveraging GitOps principles for improved efficiency and performance.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing, becoming a cornerstone for expertise in GitOps within the organization.
Embody the dual role of mentor and learner, inspiring professional development and fostering a collaborative and enriching learning environment within the team.
Must-have:
A solid foundation of over 10 years in DevOps and Platform Engineering roles, with an emphasis on AWS, hybrid cloud environments, and a proven track record in leadership.
Extensive experience with DevOps practices, cloud infrastructure strategy, and Terraform in managing complex AWS organizations.
Proficiency in deploying Kubernetes in production settings, alongside a robust understanding of GitOps principles and the application of these in cloud environments.
In-depth knowledge of platform security practices, particularly within AWS and GitOps frameworks, to safeguard our digital infrastructure.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of fostering teamwork, and adept at translating complex technical details into understandable concepts for various audiences.
A proactive stance on continuous learning, eager to enhance platform efficiency and functionality by embracing innovative technologies and methodologies.
Preferred Skill set:
Familiarity with an array of tools such as GitHub Actions, Terragrunt, SweetOps, Atmos, Spacelift, and monitoring solutions like Datadog, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus.
An understanding of compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, NIST, NERC CIP) and their implications on platform engineering and cybersecurity.
Experience with messaging systems like Kafka and RabbitMQ, and a comprehensive grasp of Kubernetes ecosystem tools including but not limited to Karpenter, AWS EKS, Helm, Cilium, Istio, ArgoCD, and FlexCD.
Demonstrated capability in leading geographically dispersed teams, emphasizing remote collaboration and communication to maintain a cohesive and productive team environment.
Qualifications
The candidate should have a B.E/B.Tech/B.SC degree in Information Technology or any related field .The candidate should have a work experience of 10- 15 years.
