Citigroup Finance Reporting Analyst 1, Officer (Hybrid) in Mumbai, India

The Fin Solutions Analyst I is a trainee professional role. Requires a good knowledge of the range of processes, procedures and systems to be used in carrying out assigned tasks and a basic understanding of the underlying concepts and principles upon which the job is based. Good understanding of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing the objectives of the area. Makes evaluative judgements based on the analysis of factual information. They are expected to resolve problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and will be guided by precedents. Must be able to exchange information in a concise and logical way as well as be sensitive to audience diversity. Limited but direct impact on the business through the quality of the tasks/services provided. Impact of the job holder is restricted to own job.

Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to the design, roll-out and governance of financial solutions, including:

  • Participates in formulating and setting strategic direction for the process, organization and architecture covering Finance across Citi businesses, products, functions and locations

  • Assists in setting business and information architecture standards for Finance

  • Plays a part in settling and operating necessary forums and frameworks to establish and govern policies and starts for global Finance processes

  • Participates in assessing and incorporating changing business, regulatory and market information needs into finance processes and applications

  • Manages implementation of procedures and development of analyses and report.

  • Integrates established disciplinary knowledge within own specialty area with basic understanding of related industry practices.

  • Delivering of routine and defined outputs.

  • Escalates problems or issues relating to transactions, processes, reports or, procedures.

  • Performs other duties and functions as assigned

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 0-2+ years of relevant experience

  • Knowlegde of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing the concentration of the area.

  • Has working knowledge of industry practices and standards.

Education:

  • Bachelors degree

The Finance Reporting Analyst is an entry level position responsible for managing FullSuite / AE SPIRT (Significant Process Incident Response Team) S/He should ensure smooth functioning of all BAU activities while adhering to all control guidelines. S/He will interact with partner to discuss, resolve and escalate issues appropriately to manage expectations. .

Responsibilities:

  • Work on Simple / Medium complex queries, drive resolutions across different groups

  • Hold external teams (Technology / GFTS) accountable and ensure they deliver against deadlines

  • Act as SME for platform

  • Assess impact of changes to process/platforms and identify mitigating strategies

  • Define processes for own area, standardize processes across regions/centers

  • Identify redundancies/improvements in own processes and implement the same

  • Identify opportunities to reduce INC volume by collaborating with different user groups for platform trainings with

  • Define/Standardize/Analyze process metrics

  • Escalate externally for delays in process/tasks

  • Design & Implement process controls and review them for applicability

  • Manage and report control issues with transparency

  • Can drive SPIRT Projects/Initiatives

  • Assist in the development of process efficiencies and improvement efforts as well as data quality improvement projects

  • Interpret policies, guidelines, and processes and resolve complex problems and transactions

  • Assist with the management of one or more processes, reports, procedures, or products

  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.

  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of previous experience required on supporting Financial accounting & reporting platforms

  • FullSuite Platform experience preferred

  • Self-motivated and detail oriented

  • Working knowledge of related industry practices and standards

  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting /University degree or equivalent experience
