Who are we looking for....?
The Implementation Specialist has accountability for acting as a voice for business resources in details related to enabling new or changing infrastructure, work processes, or systems capabilities during implementation projects. They are responsible for collaborating with the IT Services teams designing and implementing new or changing infrastructure for project related activities. They are responsible for leading business resources through the implementation process regarding client metrics and work towards assuring business resources are positioned for success in the use of new or changed solutions.
Job Description:
Principle Activities:
Provide partner/client support for required for a specific business process area of expertise.
Lead and influence project team discussions, decisions, and direction for a specific business process area of expertise
Help manage cross-functional implementation issues and interdependencies for business process area of expertise
Review project requirements against standard business process MET, capturing gaps where most typical process, systems, and infrastructure are not expected to suffice for a solution. Highlight these to the ITS & EXS teams
Coordinate in the identification of end users involved in testing, requiring training, and requiring changes to security profiles
Participate on the development of training plans, and deliver work process & systems delta training
Participate on the development of the implementation approach, strategy and detailed plans.
Participate on the development of cutover plans and approach
Gather input and develop the cutover check lists for a specific ITS & EXS process area of expertise
Assists with the coordination and execution of implementation plans for ITS & EXS process and service related activities for transition, training, testing and cutover by facilitating the completion of tasks against the Implementation checklist
Provide hypercare support following production implementations. Facilitate the closure of defects or act as a liaison for end users to gain closure for defect. Facilitate issue resolution across DSS teams when needed
Facilitate handover to run-the-business operations
Provide support and metrics to customers post Go-Live to ensure a smooth transition between companies during Hypercare
Improved upon current reporting to engage employees and drive completions of training & security verification within company wide applications through the development of gamification, driving end user engagement
Collaboration with leadership to develop a portal where all reports within the organization can be easily accessed and utilized, along with mobile capabilities
Creation of new metrics to assist with transparency among the organization, leading to higher customer satisfaction
Comprehensive reporting throughout project life cycle, ensuring end to end transparency

Typical Issues:
The Implementation Specialist interacts with people across several different areas, business and functions.
It’s required to deal with tied timelines and stressful situations (such as Cutover and Hypercare)
Most Complex Challenges:
Lead and get agreement on As-Is and To-Be designs with several teams including IS, functions, businesses and Dow’s External IT Service provider(s).
Deal with scope and timeline changes during the project execution
Expected Results
Deliver project results against challenging timelines
Qualifications
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management of Information Systems (MIS) or equivalent in Master's degree.
Up to 2 years' IT experience.
