Morgan Stanley Associate - Run the Bank (Operations) in Mumbai, India

We’re seeking someone to join our team as an Associate to work as part of the wider business analysis project team with a focus on back & middle office business change, risk and regulatory initiatives.

In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships, driving strategic automation solutions by embracing a transformation mindset and challenging the status quo.

This is an Associate position within Core Services, which is responsible for performing and managing product-agnostic and centralized operational services across several businesses and products.

What you’ll do in the role:

• Daily Spike/Dip monitoring & investigation of new & old exceptions in Position & transaction level reporting

• Performing manual changes to the trades to remediate new & old internal/external exceptions within the Controls & report the trades timely

• Performing root cause analysis for breaking population

• Raising JIRAs for issues identified & getting them prioritized for delivery with tech partners

• Working with CTB & dev teams for getting strategic fixes delivered, post the testing and evidence reviews

• Training new joiners/juniors in the team as and when required

What you’ll bring to the role:

• 3-5 years of experience in operations

• Experience in regulatory reporting will be preferred

• Strong organization and communication skills

• Strong analytic and problem solving/process improvement skills

• Ability to learn quickly and solve poorly defined problems

• Ability to develop strong relationships and personal credibility with stakeholders and understand their needs and requirements

• Ability to excel in an environment of ambiguity by quickly adapting behavior and work methods to adjust to multiple demands and shifting priorities

• Product knowledge on OTC & ETD Derivatives

• CCP landscape would be an advantage

• Working knowledge of Excel is must
