Morgan Stanley Associate- Reporting & Analytics- Deposits & Cash Management (Wealth Management) in Mumbai, India

Morgan Stanley is building out an industry-leading deposits and cash management offering, that capitalizes on the acquisitions of E*TRADE and Shareworks. We are seeking a talented and motivated Associate to join the Morgan Stanley Private Banking Group's Deposits and Cash Management Product Management team. The team is responsible for a variety of deposit and payment products, with an emphasis on driving a holistic and engaging product experience spanning sweep deposits, savings, checking, CDs, and foreign currency deposits and payments. The ideal candidate is motivated to quickly learn the product set in support of the expansion of the Deposits and Cash Management business and ensure that we meet business, firm, and regulatory expectations. This is an opportunity to join U.S Based, entrepreneurial team, focused on innovation and growing deposits across all channels at Morgan Stanley. The Product Management team collaborates with cross functional partners including but not limited to: Treasury, Finance, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Sales, Marketing, Operations & Technology to discover, develop, build, enhance and grow deposits. We leverage competitor data, market insights and data to design solutions that meet customer needs, align to business goals and maximize revenue for the firm.

Key Responsibilities - Prepare management reports and financial analyses for deposit product performance on a daily, monthly, quarterly and ad hoc basis for consumption by team leadership, senior management and key stakeholders - Identify, report and investigate any data inconsistencies - Translate metrics and analyses into senior management ready and accurate presentation slides - Track competitor rates and strategies - Develop new deposits reporting and KPI tracking as needed, highlighting key business metrics and business opportunities - Maintain existing deposits dashboards and identify opportunities for new ones - Maintain a library of reports and analyses that can readily be accessed by the onshore team for the purpose of meeting internal and regulatory reviews and requests

Experience

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in finance will be preferred
  • 2-4 years of professional experience in Financial Services reporting or product management
  • Banking, wealth management and/or top tier consulting firm with a focus on banking or wealth management is a plus
  • Detail orientated, with exceptions analytical skills and a track record of delivery high quality work
  • Demonstrated success working independently and meeting multiple deadlines

Skills/Abilities

  • Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook
  • Experience in working with large data sets and knowledge of SQL, Tableau, PowerBi, VBA will be a plus
  • Analytical & strategic thinker able to prepare key business data and metrics to be consumed by senior management, key stakeholders and regulators
  • Strong communicator with solid written and verbal presentation skills
  • Self-starter who is able to work independently on multiple tasks; efficient time management skills and attention to detail
  • Great data visualization and power-point skills, with ability to put together cohesive, senior management-ready decks
  • Ability to problem solve, translate business needs into specific project tasks
  • Excellent relationship building capabilities with internal partners to build consensus and drive solutions
