Netflix Associate - Finance & Strategy - India in Mumbai, India

The Role

Netflix derives a significant competitive advantage from the highly analytical approach it takes to manage all aspects of the business and as we continue to invest in success in India, we are looking for an Associate to join the Content Finance and Strategy (F&S) India team.

This team is responsible to develop and refine the success strategy for the country. We partner closely with the senior leadership of Netflix who depend heavily on the strategic insights we provide to inform critical business decisions. The role assesses external trends and the incredible amount of data at Netflix to inform business & financial decisions pertaining to the overall India market. It also focuses on driving business performance reviews to inform opportunities and risks for the future.

This role will be based in our Mumbai office and involves close coordination with members of the Content F&S team in both Asia and around the world.

Responsibilities

  • Create perspective on trends of critical business drivers across industry, consumer and competition working with external and internal sources

  • Drive targeted market growth projects in partnership with cross-functional teams and enable working sessions to identify execution initiatives

  • Support Portfolio Ppanning / Programming strategy for mid-to-long term planning

  • Manage multiple stakeholders across Finance & Strategy, Creative and Business teams

  • Regularly present analyses and reports on relevant operating and financial metrics in an easy-to-understand format to senior business leaders

  • Compile thoughtful post-mortem analyses to determine areas for optimization and improvement

  • Work cross-functionally with other Finance teams globally as well as Product, Marketing, and Consumer Insights teams

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in a management consulting firm, investment bank, private equity, hedge fund. In addition, experience at media/entertainment/gaming/tech company in a strategy/analytical role would be preffered

  • Worked in a high-expectations environment in which they’d have managed multiple stakeholders and performed complex analytics mixed with simple/digestible communication of the same

  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess a high level of intellectual curiosity, focus on generating results and exhibit the highest personal and professional standards of integrity and ethics. Candidates must be motivated, disciplined, flexible, and be able to work effectively autonomously

  • High aptitude and enthusiasm for complex (often highly ambiguous) problem solving and utilizing financial modelling and analysis (including strong Excel skills)

  • Familiarity with statistical concepts and analyses. Adept at writing, facilitating and presenting analyses

  • Strong Excel skills are mandatory; Proficiency with Tableau and SQL a strong plus

  • Master’s degree with emphasis on coursework of a quantitative nature. MBA a plus
